Designed by Yasuko Faruta, TOGA was established in Tokyo in 1997, and started presenting its collections in Paris in 2005. Faruta’s influences by rockabilly style, vintage pieces, and the 1950s way of producing clothes in a made-to-order production scheme are evidently a big influence in the collections she presents. Her style fits right into fashion’s current fixation with off-kilter, atemporal mash-ups. Always rooted down in bottom-line practicality, TOGA focuses on the day-to-day, offering subdued sensuality and amazing quality garments
